American Board certification is a two-stage examination by which a plastic surgeon proves that he/she has an extended level of skills, training and expertise in the various areas of plastic surgery. In 1992, Dr. Kerner was awarded her Board Certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which is the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties and the American Medical Association. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society and is an active member of The Aesthetic Society. Dr. Kerner served as President for the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons and also served as President of the Medical Staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.

Dr. Kerner’s husband, Steve, is an intellectual properties attorney in the telecommunications and consumer electronics industry.
They have two married sons who both live in Chicago. Alex is a teacher and is currently working on his master’s degree. His wife, Alison, is completing her residency to become an emergency room physician. Christian is a global finance attorney. His wife, Andrea, is working on her graduate degree at Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
In her free time, Dr. Kerner is active in her church, enjoys cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, and gardening.

Jennifer has over 35 years in healthcare administration and has been Dr. Kerner’s Office Manager since 1991. She grew up in Plano and studied at Dallas Baptist University. She received the designation of Certified Medical Office Manager. She was a past executive board member with the American Society of Plastic Surgery Administrators and was a past president
of Presbyterian Plano Office Managers Association. She is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Plano through the Plano Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to her duties with Dr. Kerner, Jennifer and her husband, Les, are very active in their church and lead Faithful Friend Ministry, a juvenile prison ministry using their Schutzhund-bred and trained German shepherds, and Faithful Friend Mission K9, an entity placing service dogs with wounded combat veterans and those veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Marcie Rumph

Marcie came on board in March 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning. Marcie studied nursing at Texas Women’s University in Denton, and has surgical office experience in addition to having served as a school nurse for several years. She shares clinical office duties with Heather along with managing the surgery schedule and patient teaching and education.
Marcie’s husband, Brian, is an executive in the freight forwarding logistics industry. They have two children, Carter and Emma. Marcie enjoys time with her family and spends many weekends watching her daughter play softball.
Belinda Downing
RN, CPSN, CoolSculpting® Coordinator
Although Belinda officially retired from full time work in June 2020, she is still part of our team. She conducts our CoolSculpting consultations and performs the treatments. She attended CoolSculpting University, the manufacturer’s intensive training program. She is experienced in treatment protocols and use of the equipment. Belinda has over 40 years of nursing experience, more than 25 of those in plastic surgery. She earned her Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse designation.
Belinda’s husband, Dave, is a retired anesthesiologist, and together they have five children and four grandchildren. She enjoys knitting and riding her bike.

Wow I was 38 years old and had a lower face lift and she made my face look 7 years younger without the pull look. She is gentle and very caring and wants to make you happy! Nose Skin Cancer Removal and Wound Repair – An Exceptional Surgeon
There isn't a high enough recommendation for Dr. Kerner. She repaired a bad cut on my hand in her office, saving me thousands of dollars from an emergency room visit. It healed perfectly. She also removed a large skin cancer from my nose, and the scar is invisible. She is an exceptional surgeon, and I am very happy with my results and the care I received from her.
Dr. Kerner is one of my most favorite doctors
Dr. Kerner has been one of my doctors since 1990. We both have done some moving around in those 28 years but, since she's a terrific doctor and person, I've always stayed with her when I needed her expertise and or guidance. Her office staff is great too, and have been with Dr. Kerner for a long time. It's been great to have such continuity - especially with her and her Office Manager, Jennifer. I look forward to going there whenever it's necessary - Jennifer and the other staff are always so bright and cheerful when you walk in the door. There's never been an issue (insurance, etc.) that didn't get resolved in an extremely timely manner. Whenever I've needed a referral, Jennifer has been "johnny-on-the-spot" and gotten back with me timely. Dr. Kerner is one of my most favorite doctors, and her office atmosphere is excellent - friendly, peaceful, relaxing. What a great office!

Nobody holds a candle to Dr. Kerner
It's been more than 7 years since I lived in the Dallas area. While I've had doctors in two other states, they simply cannot hold a candle to Dr. Kerner. When I'm in Texas - she's my 'go-to'. Her staff is more than accommodating and I've never been disappointed. Whether it's a quick facial or something more complex I know I can trust everyone to be courteous, prompt and offer absolute platinum level products and services.
My breasts are beautiful
Now that I have healed, I can honestly say that I cannot think of any way that Dr. Kerner could have done more to improve my experience. Dr. Kerner takes you through the process in a steady calm manner. She listens to what you want. She is kind and is there for every appt. I have a friend whose daughter had the same surgery that I did but she didn't have Dr. Kerner so her experience was not as perfect. I can truly say that I recovered wonderfully. In my case, I was expecting much worse pain while I was recovering. I am now six months out from surgery and my breasts are beautiful.

Dr. Kerner is amazing!! She listens and strives to really understand what you want. She had me bring in pictures and really tried to understand what I wanted aesthetically. I had my plastic surgery done in Plano TX after recommendations to go see Dr. Kerner. From getting older my earlobes had become longer and droopy. Right there in her office at Presbyterian Hospital Plano she examined me, drew a few lines and explained how the whole thing would work. I’ve been very pleased with every experience
Dr. Kerner and her staff have been taking care of me and my youngest son for several years now. I've been very pleased with every experience in her office and from her staff (and considering I'm in the medical field and am extremely picky). I've had many skin cancers removed and had an allergic reaction to sutures and bandaids, but Dr. Kerner and her staff worked with me to find the materials that work for me instead against me. Dr. Kerner is well respected in the medical community and deservedly so. West Plano and Dallas have plastic surgeons on every corner and Dr. Kerner's is the one I want to be in.

Eyelid Surgery Made Me Look 15 Years Younger
Dr. Kerner lifted my upper eyelids as I had lost a lot of my peripheral vision from the weight of the extra skin on my lids. Her staff worked hard to get insurance approval, and they were very helpful. She did my lower lids at the same time, and it made me look at 15 years younger. Now I see much better without getting headaches while reading, and my appearance is rested and refreshed, but still me. I am very happy with my results and would certainly work with Dr. Kerner again if the need arises.

I carefully researched a LOT of Dallas plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons also in Plano TX, Frisco and Fort Worth. When I was done with my research, I finally chose a female Dallas Plano plastic surgeon Dr. Elizabeth Kerner, MD. She'd treated thousands of patients over 30 years in Dallas and Plano and has a rock-solid reputation. That meant a lot to me. Her experience speaks for itself in the quality of her work and her attention to detail. I wanted a surgeon with an excellent education & certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and not some other similarly-named outfit. Dr. Kerner was very personable and connected easily with me, asking all the right questions to understand exactly what I wanted and what my preferences were. She treated me like I was her only patient of the day. After talking with me, she examined me and took some measurements and recited some technical remarks and directions to her nurse who entered everything into their computer. After she fully understood what I wanted and asked questions to help me even better refine my vision of what I wanted, Dr. Kerner showed me and explained exactly what she could do, and exactly what to expect in my procedure, my recovery, and my outcome. She made it very clear that my satisfaction and the outcome I wanted was paramount. My outcome has far exceeded my expectations, hence this long review. Everything she had told me turned out to be exactly true and accurate but even better than I expected. I honestly cannot believe I was carrying that much weight around.
I developed at a really young age - about 9 or 10. The people around me made me feel so uncomfortable and awkward about my body. Ever seen Carrie where the mom called her breasts dirty pillows"? That's what I felt like being sexualized so young . I even think a family member called them that once (jokingly). I had very large pendulous breasts since high school, very hard to find bras, had severe back pain, shoulder groves, and even shortness of breath especially during exercise from the weight alone (Didn't help my asthma any). My breasts have always drawn far too much attention. Friends and strangers wanting to play with them, comment on them. Getting all sorts of cat calls mostly from nasty old men. I couldn't go to the grocery store without stares. Recently I was at the mall and a group of teens walked by. One of the boys in the group muttered "look at them overgrown a** [RS bleep]!" This has been a common occurrence in my life. It was time to get surgery. I was horrified at the idea but my mom pushed me so hard to and I realized it was a necessity. Several consultations later, I found a great PS. I was upset that the only available day to get the operation was right before Christmas and my birthday because we met our insurance deductible and it had to be done by the end of the year to be covered. But I knew it had to be done and will be well worth it. Not sure about grams per side but had 9 lbs. in total removed and still a nice D cup. I honestly cannot believe I was carrying that much weight around.

When I had a basal cancer discovered on my face, she walked me through the entire process and took care of the final stages of cosmetic closure and healing. People can't believe I ever HAD a procedure, as there is virtually no discernible scar. I recently had some filler work done before my daughter's wedding, and Dr Kerner and staff helped me feel beautiful for the special day. Dr. Kerner always explains things thoroughly, and there is so much benefit from her years of experience. I love her low-key, friendly demeanor that is the perfect pairing to her surgical skill. I also love the atmosphere of the office. The team always takes time to make patients feel welcome, and there is an air of peace and calm among the entire staff. I am absolutely thrilled with my results
From the moment I walked into Elizabeth's waiting room I felt comfortable and was treated as if I was the most important person her team had met. Each of her team is gracious and kind. Dr. Elizabeth was one of several doctors I consulted with after an issue with an unfinished double mastectomy. I am glad Dr. Elizabeth was the third of 3 doctors I visited with as I was absolutely certain after the consult Dr. Elizabeth was my first and only choice. Dr. Elizabeth completed my surgery on December 21, 2018. An Early Christmas present I am now completely healed from and absolutely thrilled with the results. At my 6 months follow up, she looked at a tiny surgical scar that wasn’t even noticeable and said she would revised it! That scar was alright by me! She revised it at no cost!! That’s perfection at its entirety! You won’t regret ever going to her!

New boobies measured at Nordstrom, 1 month post-op
Got measured at Nordstrom yesterday. 34DDD for now, little bit is swelling remains. PS predicted final size of 36D (similar to 34DD) so I'm close! I was a swished in 34DDD back in my 20s and early 30s, but let me tell ya, they looked nothing like these!!! SO happy!!!

GREAT Doctor, Excellent Surgeon
Dr. Kerner is meticulous in her detailed understanding. Very clear there is no guesswork. I can see what people mean who say she is a perfectionist. Very warm, friendly and laid back, but also a perfectionist. I love that. I felt welcomed, relaxed and was never rushed. She took the time to be sure I was comfortable and understood the answers to all of my questions. By the end of the visit I felt like I was talking with a good friend who also just happens to be this fantastic surgeon. I was completely taken care of. It is so clear Dr. Kerner takes pride in her work and truly cares about her patients even after their surgery. She is a wonderful person. Excellent doctor and staff. Excellent experience overall. Great location. Excellent hospital facility. Her knowledge of the medical field and the human body is just remarkable. Her skills as a surgeon are exceptional. Her technique is perfect. As a doctor, I don't think there are many doctors in the North Texas area who even come close to Dr. Kerner. I feel extremely fortunate and blessed to have found her.

Dr. Kerner and her staff are true professionals. I've had two procedures with her and have come away extremely happy. I believe her ethics are second to none - she actually talked me out of a procedure that would not have resulted in a good value. My tummy tuck and breast implants results are amazing!
I was referred to Dr. Kerner by a family friend and had a tummy tuck and breast implants replaced in November of 2018. Dr. Kerner and her staff were amazing at being informative about every aspect of the surgery and recovery. They made me feel so comfortable about undergoing an elective surgery and my pain was managed very well. My results are absolutely amazing! I have never in my life felt comfortable with my tummy or in a bikini, but I finally feel comfortable in my own skin. I honestly can’t thank Dr. Kerner and her staff enough for helping me along this amazing journey with such wonderful care. I am extremely happy I chose Dr. Kerner and would recommend her to anyone!!
My breast reduction is the best thing ever!
Hard to believe it's been 4 months since my BR! Best thing ever!!! No neck or shoulder pain whatsoever! Blessed with a very easy recovery and no complications! Dr Kerner's work was fantastic! Bought my first strapless bra (36DD) to wear with halter maxi dress and got SO many compliments, felt awesome! Still lots of work to do on shaping up the rest of me, but all in good time! Cheers to all my boobie sisters out there!

One of the finest plastic surgeons in practice
I have been a patient of Dr Kerner since the 1990s. She has been fabulous for small cosmetic procedures such as dermabrasion and sclerotherapy for spider veins, as well as dealing with the much more major aftermath of skin cancer Mohs surgery. Her closing and treatment of that wound on my face left virtually no scar. Dr Kerner has a calm and pleasant bedside manner and a low-key but entirely thorough way of explaining all treatment. She is gentle and methodical while at work. I appreciate her Christian ethic of wanting to serve Christ through her treatment and care of all people. Her staff is superior in their friendliness and professionalism. Presbyterian Hospital, as a faith-based facility, is the perfect setting for an excellent doctor such as Elizabeth Kerner. I am grateful to have had the privilege of being cared for by one of the finest plastic surgeons in practice.

Terrific surgeon!
I went to see two other plastic surgeons regarding breast augmentation, both males. They both urged me to aim for larger and larger implants. As a runner and a workout junkie, I wanted smaller implants that would be more proportionate and fit my lifestyle. Dr. Kerner was the only one of the three who listened to my wishes and asked me to bring a lot of pictures to show her what I wanted. I knew that we were on the same page, and I love my new look! I enjoyed every aspect of my surgery and follow-up with Dr. Kerner and her wonderful staff, and I'm happy to recommend her to others.

Dr Kerner is so nice, very understanding, easy to talk with and very much a perfectionist! Will take as much time as needed for consultations, pre-op, surgery and post-op as necessary. You will never feel rushed! You will always feel important and valuable to this Dr. practice.

… I had a breast aug and a lollipop lift on 1 breast, Scarring is barely even there. She takes good care of you after the surgery too as far as check ups go. I have also had her do some Botox. I would recommend her to anyone. First she lets you bring a bra, you'd like to fit in, and takes it into the surgery room to see if it fits (sterilized of course), she also has pictures pinned up everywhere so she gets it as close to what you want! She's great!

What a great doctor and staff. Dr. Kerner is a very good communicator and went over all the options for my surgery. She mentioned things other doctors did not and helped me make a smart choice. Sally and Balinda are great nurses and really helped me after surgery. Jennifer worked so hard on getting my insurance company to do what was right and was so helpful. This is the place you want to go if you want great care from a great team. I could not be any happier with my experience and my results.

She took me right in. She taught me how to take care of it after surgery. She also worked around a hair follicle. She took care of everything. I have no scar or anything; you cannot tell that there was ever anything there.

Dr Kerner led me through all the steps in such a way that I was always comfortable that I was in good hands. I don't think anything could have been more perfect except an irritating nurse in my one night stay in the hospital. I called Dr. Kerner & she called the hospital to remedy the situation. I know a four hour surgery cannot be easy but one could be fooled by her steady calmness. I can't express the beauty she created that I get to look at every day. I am more than pleased.
